October marks a new beginning for the University Community. We are starting a new academic year with new perspectives opening up and new challenges emerging. While a blank slate can sometimes be the best starting point, it is undoubtedly easier to implement new ideas on the solid foundation of acquired knowledge and experience.
A moment to verify these parameters is the annual reporting session dedicated to PhD students completing their third year of studies at the Doctoral School. This session is competitive, with winners selected by a committee of experts in the field appointed specifically for this occasion.
We are incredibly pleased to announce that the first-place winner in this academic year’s competition is Mohamed Abouzid Elsaid Hassan Mahmoud. Dagmara Pietkiewicz took second place, and Paweł Komarnicki third. The special award for outstanding presentation and discussion was given to Anna Sterna.
The distinguished PhD students received vouchers that they could use to cover the costs of publishing their research results, attending conferences, or participating in workshops or training sessions to enhance their qualifications. The Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Professor Michał Nowicki, and the Doctoral School’s Director, Prof. Dr. Hab. Ewa Wender- Ożegowska, funded and presented the prizes.
Congratulations!!!
