The Board of the Polish Society of Medicinal Chemistry invites you to participate in the Elimination Rounds to select a representative from Poland to deliver a statement at EFMC-YMCS 2025 (12th EFMC Young Medicinal Chemist Symposium ☞ https://www.efmc-ymcs.org/), which will be held on September 4-5, 2025 in Porto, Portugal.
The eliminations have a tradition of several years. The first eliminations took place in 2014 and since then, PhD students and young doctors have represented Poland at annual meetings organized by EFMC-YMCS (*full list of winners below). All PhD students and young doctors (up to two years after their doctorate) interested in obtaining the PTChM nomination for EFMC-YMCS 2025 are asked to send a one-page summary in English and a short, also one-page CV (also in English) by April 22, 2025, to the following address: eliminationptchemmed@gmail.com. By April 30, 2025, the PTChM Committee will select a maximum of 7 candidates who will be invited to the Eliminations in Krakow on May 10, 2025, to give 15-minute presentations in English.
The eliminations will be held in a hybrid form:
– in person in the Faculty Council Meeting Room of prof. A. Zejca Faculty of Pharmacy Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, ul. Medyczna 9,
– in the form of an online broadcast MsTeams (link will be provided later)
People from outside Krakow participating in the Eliminations will receive a refund of the cost of train/bus tickets. For participants from further scientific centers (e.g. Gdańsk, Białystok, Szczecin), it is possible to reimburse the cost of one night’s accommodation in student dormitories or hotels with similar costs.
